About Us
On the LAMB Sanctuary rescues farmed animals facing adverse conditions and/or euthanasia and provides lifelong care and sanctuary to those animals.
The Name
The name of the sanctuary represents the founders, Laura and Michael Boswerger (i.e. LAMB), and the phrase, on the lam, or someone who is escaping or fleeing. These animals have escaped the cruelty or exploitation of their past and have found love and lifelong sanctuary.
The Founders
Laura and Michael founded On the LAMB in 2020, after moving from New York City to the suburbs of New Canaan, CT. They are both passionate animal lovers and have experience working with a multitude of animals through years of volunteer work.
